I wanted to do a project that demonstrates real-time face tracking via webcam. The result was a really fun site that allows users to try on eight mustaches and goatees in four different colors. There are also two different hats to complete your look. Each item you choose is automatically sized and positioned by the location of your face. When you move, your mustache, hat and goatee move with you. Optionally, users can pause the face tracking and manually move, resize and rotate items.

When you’re done, you can save a photo of yourself and share it via Facebook or Twitter. You can also download or email your photo. Each image is given a permalink to make this image sharing possible.
