I've worked at BR for just over a year, yet I have now officed on three different floors. First five, then fifteen, now nine. If you're unfamiliar with BR, nine is where all the cool kids work. Yep, I'm hangin' out with the cool kids now. One of the great benefits of hanging out with the cool kids is that all their cool kid iTunes libraries are now available to me. So let's see what we have here.
I think it's worth pointing out that nearly everyone has changed the default 'shared name' that iTunes displays. This is a true sign of brilliance. Bernstein-Rein creatives aren't content to share their music as "John Doe's Music." No, these folks are far more expressive than that. My personal favorite is "eargasmatron 3000™." I think it goes without saying that this person has a healthy collection of Al Green MP3s.
I didn't know that Toby Keith and Nine Inch Nails could coexist in the same iTunes library, but I have been proven wrong. I appreciate people who have sporadic and unexplainable patterns in their music listening. There's no rhyme or reason to any of these collections and I really like that.
So now I need to take a look at my own library and make sure it's filling in the gaps rather than just being a copy of everyone else's. This is fun, it's like making a several-thousand-song mixtape for everyone on the floor.
