I'm a crappy writer. There's just no getting around this. I've wanted to post a lot to this site since there's honestly a lot of things I'd love to write about. I have a library of typical excuses and for now, that's going to have to be my blog topic du jour. It's been a LONG week and I have the attention span of a gerbil, so here is a collection of random thoughts.

Do you ever check out Google Maps and click around until you find a place you're not familiar with and then do 30 minutes of research on it? I do this all the time. I know a lot about Calgary tonight. It seems like a really nice place.
I keep forgetting that there are radio stations other than NPR. Radio used to be a place I'd go to hear music and now it's just a really loud and annoying string of commercials. Is there really any future for 'music radio' as we know it? A generation of kids is growing up right now being able to choose what they listen to when they want to listen to it. When they're older, radio will seem like 8-tracks and rotary phones.

I miss working in the River Market. Working on the Plaza has its perks, but I miss Habashi, Harry's, Hien Vuong and Carollo's. The Plaza has some great food, but it's just not 'quick lunch' food, it's take a number and hope you get a table food.
